Exmoor Owl & Hawk Centre

On the way home from our summer break in Woolacombe we went via Exmoor and into Allerford to visit the Exmoor Owl & Hawk Centre.

Oscar thought the Goat's climbing area was for him...

Nearby Allerford forge had lovely iron work and was well worth stopping off for a look.

Puxton park revisited

We went to Puxton Park again as Oscar really liked it last time.  Aside from the JCB play area and the toy tractors there was lots to see; I'll stop babbling as you can just look at the pictures...

Bath and West Show

We went to the Bath and West Show again this year, luckily the weather was top notch shame about the traffic when we went to go home though...
We had lunch with Mum and Dad (aka Nanna and Grandad) up on the terrace.

Grandad treated Oscar to a ride on the miniature train

Mells revisited

The last time we went to Mells for a walk it tipped down with rain, this time the weather was lovely though!

Oscar insisted on being clipped on to the dog lead; we don't take him out for a walk!

Near Burrington, Somerset

Burrington is a lovely place for a walk, I'd recommend looking it up on an OS map.  We'd been for a long run round there together on a day off and decided to take Oscar there too.

A walk in the woods by King Alfred's Tower

We went to a favourite walking spot; the woods by King Alfred's Tower in Brewham.  It was part of the Stourhead estate and the tower itself is a folly built on the grounds.
It was spring at the time and all the blue bells were flowering, Oscar called them jingles as they look like bells.

Oscar the Tiger

Oscar often comes home from Nursery with his face painted; truth be told I never know what he's supposed to be but this time I could actually tell he was supposed to be a tiger; the roaring helped!

Wareham Common

Nicky grew up in Wareham and spent a lot of time in Wareham Common so we went out for a day trip.  It was very nice and reminded me of time spent in fields near Tuckton when we visited my Grandparents.

The dogs loved it but kept trying to catch the swan on the river.

It really was too cold for wading.
